Having eagerly awaited the release of this film and being a huge fan of Ms Knightley from the first time i saw her act in Atonement i have to say that i was a little disappointed with this film although i would say the acting generaly was very good.
The script was a little weak not to mention the scenery which i found dull and disappointing.
The relationship between the two ladies in the film intrigued me and i found i almost asked myself a question why are they fighting for the affections of this shallow individual who in all honesty was a sell obsessed pretentious nonentity.

I was promised glorious welsh scenery and all i got was a few snap shots of the local coast line presumably in and around the cardigan bay.
I found myself making comparisons with this and Atonement especially in relation to the seaside setting,war features and the Mcavoy/day.actors
out of 10 i would give it a generous 7/10
I will probably watch DUCHESS next as i like Knightley's acting but i am not sure whether this part will really do her acting justice in the future.

agree with the review, kiera and sienna are great but why on earth are they fighting over that bloke! makes no sense to me...
